Franco-fun Festival in Kitimat!
The Franco-fun Festival returns to Kitimat February 23 to 25, with the highlight taking place on Sunday, February 25, at noon: the Franco-fun Brunch at Hirsch Creek Golf Club. The Gyspy Moondogs will perform their music, and during the brunch, there will be meat pies, sugar pies, maple syrup … mmmmm. This year, participants will have two shots at winning the grand prize: a return trip with Central Mountain Air. Tickets for the brunch are now available at the Kitimat Public Library, and also at Jack Cook School (Terrace). Tickets will cost $15 per adult, $10 per child (aged 6 to 12), and $5 for tots (aged 3 to 5). There is also an early-bird price until Feb 16: all tickets are $10 (except for the tots). With the rest of the festival, we will get it started at Kildala Elementary on the Friday (February 23), where Anne Glover will offer workshops to the students and other various Carnaval activities. On Saturday, February 24, Anne Glover will present a free community show at the Kitimat Public Library at 1 p.m.
